Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. The perfect gift for them was hard to find. A number of favors for reception guests and people who stand up in your wedding are out there on the web. Narrowing it down was the big challenge. There were also a lot of great deals on thank you gifts that I found at a discount. One particular eight-piece set I found saved me a lot of money; it had a pillow for the ring bearer, a basket for the flower girl, a pen and sign-in book for guests, and several other things, all in one. That was a big savings. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I knew my bridesmaids would be thrilled if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. As I looked, I discovered a variety of high-quality wedding jewelry boxes. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I still had to get supplies and accessories for the reception even though the wedding ceremony was all but taken care of. I didn’t have my wedding cake topper yet, nor did I have the wedding favors for my friends and family, so that’s where I went next. Bottle openers made of chrome in the form of birds of peace and salt and pepper shakers that looked like a couple on their wedding day were what I went with. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. The groomsmen all got a Swiss Army Knife type things from my groom, complete with a file and cork screw.
The topper I finally decided on was a bride and groom embracing and it was really quite lovely on top of our wedding cake. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. With all of the rest of it out of the way, it was time to make the call on a present for my bridemaids. I bought them all a piece of unique wedding jewelry, and I put it in jewelry gift boxes. The piece I got each of the bridesmaids was a glittery rhinestone bangle. It was just perfect for them even though it probably sounds like a bit much. The volume of options in discount wedding jewelry was so great, and so good, that I got them some of that and saved a little cash in the process. In fact I bought my pearl wedding jewelry to go with my wedding gown there too. There were some awesome bargains on very elegant jewelry items. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
All my dreams came true on my wedding day; it was absolutely glorious. Two single people drew some attention: my husband’s brother snatched the garter out of the air, and my sister won the bouquet toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. Anything is possible!
